Hook calls on local growers to join forces
Share on LinkedInTwitterFacebookEmail

Hook restaurant has announced an initiative to strengthen its commitment to local produce by inviting small-scale growers from across the island to collaborate.

Islanders who grow fresh produce on a small scale, whether that’s currently just for a hedge veg or for family and friends, are encouraged to get in touch with Hook if they are interested in trading what they grow – herbs, fruit, vegetables and more – for restaurant vouchers.

The restaurant’s co-owners Sam Jarrold (pictured) and Josh Brook have reinvented Hook with a philosophy centred around celebrating the finest local produce alongside high-quality seasonal ingredients from the British Isles. This initiative aims to deepen Hook’s roots within the Guernsey community, allowing local growers to showcase their products on a larger stage while enjoying the rewards of dining at one of the island’s top restaurants.

“At Hook, we believe in the importance of supporting our local economy and providing our guests with the freshest ingredients available,” said Sam Jarrold. “By working directly with small-scale growers, we can continue to offer our customers an ever-changing menu that truly reflects the best that Guernsey has to offer.”
