Royal-Tea Alert: Calling all Charles and Camillas
Share on LinkedInTwitterFacebookEmail

Is your name Charles or Camilla?

In celebration of the upcoming Royal visit, Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa and L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa in Jersey, and the St Pierre Park Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort and Fermain Valley Hotel in Guernsey are offering a free champagne afternoon tea for five lucky guests named either Charles or Camilla.

The first five people with either of these names to book afternoon tea on 15 July, when the King and Queen will be on island, will enjoy a free tasty treat for two.

Winners and a plus-one will experience the quintessentially British pastime at either Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa or L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa, creating a magical moment on the specially agreed bank holiday.

It will be the first time King Charles and Queen Camilla will be visiting Jersey since the King’s Coronation in 2023.

Tim O’Sullivan, General Manager at Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa said: “We’re no strangers to hosting Royals at Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, as the late Queen Elizabeth II visited the hotel twice, once in 2005 and once before she was Queen in 1948. The Queen also visited L’Horizon in 1978 as part of her silver jubilee
celebrations, so we’re thrilled to honour the current King with a Royal raise of the glass and a scone or two.”

Elizabeth Raine, General Manager at St Pierre Park Hotel, Spa &; Golf Resort added: “We pride ourselves on treating every guest like Royalty year-round at Hand Picked Hotels, but afternoon tea is a particularly appropriate treat, given its long and storied association with exceptional quality food and luxury dining.

“Afternoon tea in Britain dates back centuries, as far back as the 1860s, so we’re proud to celebrate King Charles III’s visit in this appropriately historic way.”
