The Jersey Royal Company, now part of the Albert Bartlett Group, is set to take part in the 18th annual LEAF Open Farm Sunday on 9 June 2024.
The nationwide event aims to connect the public with farming, promote sustainable agriculture, and showcase the hard work of British farmers.
The Jersey Royal Company, based at Peacock Farm in Trinity, Jersey, will be supported by sponsors Genuine Jersey, Farm Jersey and the Jersey Farmers Union to deliver this exciting event.
Visitors can look forward to a range of engaging activities and experiences:
- ‘Pick Your Own’ section, allowing guests to harvest fresh produce themselves.
- Machinery displays and tractor photo opportunities for children.
- Food stalls and refreshments to enjoy the farm’s ambiance.
- Educational marquee with promotional materials highlighting Jersey’s farming practices.
A key attraction will be the ‘Packhouse Tour’, offering pre-booked time slots as well as on-the-day bookings to accommodate all interested visitors. After the tour, guests can savor freshly cooked produce, providing a delightful farm-to-table experience. (No open toes shoes or jewelry are to be worn during the packhouse tour).
