The winners of the sixth annual Jersey TechAwards reflect a digital ecosystem in Jersey that is increasingly diverse and that is positively impacting all areas of island life, according to Tony Moretta, CEO of Digital Jersey.

Organised by Digital Jersey and with C5 Alliance as headline sponsor, the 6th Annual Jersey TechAwards took place last week at the Royal Jersey  Showground, hosted by top stand-up comedian Hal Cruttenden. The event also included a welcome drinks reception sponsored by EWG & Currency Cloud, as well as live music from Slap and Tickle and the Ruby Rouge Band.

Attended by more than 500 people, this was the biggest ever Jersey TechAwards event, demonstrating both the growth of the digital sector and an ongoing rise in the adoption of technology in traditionally non-digital sectors of the economy.

Featuring 13 categories, judged by an independent panel of experts, the Awards celebrate the high calibre of talent across Jersey’s digital sector and recognise the individuals and businesses who are driving the innovative use of technology in the Island. The winners were:

  • Productivity: Channel PC – Revolutionising building inspections
  • Fintech: TrustQuay Viewpoint – Democratising Technology
  • Leadership: Paul Fosse, JTC
  • Innovation: Government of Jersey Marine Resources – AI and Jersey’s Blue Carbon Resources
  • Start-up: Reel Creative
  • Public & Third Sector: The Allan Lab – Technological Health Services

  • Creative: Anova – Black Mirror Presentation (AI)
  • Student: Margaux McQuilton, Institute of Law
  • Cyber Security: JCSC, Soteria & The CIISF – Cyber Security Awareness Month
  • Digital Jersey Award: Chris Meyer

Commenting on the Awards, Tony Moretta said: “Innovation within Jersey’s digital sector continues to be impressive and this is reflected in our flagship Awards growing year on year. What is particularly exciting is the diverse range of winners, from right across the private, public and third sectors. They are a reflection of how technology is being successfully applied in all corners of our lives in creative, impactful and positive ways. I’d like to congratulate all of them on their achievement.”

Stuart Richford, Group Commercial Director at C5 Alliance, added: “The TechAwards provide a valuable opportunity to recognise and celebrate all those across the community who are driving digital change to enhance island life. Technology is absolutely fundamental to our future and we are fortunate to have a sector, driven through Digital Jersey, that boasts so many innovators and entrepreneurs who are willing to push the boundaries. We are proud to continue to support this event and our congratulations go to all those who have been recognised this year.”
