Guernsey RFC celebratory dinner

The Guernsey Raiders and Gallagher have announced a special pre-Siam Cup dinner.

Taking place on Thursday 2 May, the event will feature renowned sports broadcaster Jill Douglas MBE as guest speaker, with Nathan Hines, former Scotland and British Lion rugby international and Jack Clifford, former England rugby international.

This exciting event, taking place at the Guernsey Raiders Clubhouse, will kick off the festivities ahead of the Siam Cup weekend. Guests will enjoy a delicious three course dinner and hear about the incredible experiences of the fantastic speakers.

Jill Douglas MBE is a fascinating speaker and a huge advocate for women’s roles in business, sport and charity work. A regular presenter on ITV, BBC and BT Sport, covering rugby union, cycling, athletics and snooker, she is a keen supporter of Hawick Rugby Club and married to former Scotland International Carl Hogg. In 2017 she became the CEO of the ‘My Name’s Doddie’ Foundation established by the late Doddie Weir, to raise funds for research into Motor Neuron Disease. She was awarded an MBE in the 2022 New Years Honours list for services to sport and charity.

Tickets for the event are £50 per person for the evening including a three course dinner, available as individual bookings or tables up to 10. All proceeds will go to the Guernsey RFC, supporting the great work the club does within the community, helping children, young adults and veterans to enjoy sport and the camaraderie it facilitates.
