30th Anniversary and a new look for Guernsey marketing agency

Hamilton Brooke is celebrating 30 years in business by unveiling a new corporate identity.

Managing Director, Efrem Cockett founded the agency in August 1988 and still heads up the company today, making it the longest running, local advertising agency under continuous management.

As well as being the first agency in Guernsey to adopt desktop publishing, Hamilton Brooke was also the first to design and build a website, and it continues to evolve.

Commenting on the milestone anniversary Efrem says: “It seems strange to think that when Hamilton Brooke started out, the internet didn’t exist and yet in our 30 years, it has been responsible for such a paradigm shift in marketing, and of course it’s now integrated into virtually everything we do.”

However, the company puts its ongoing success down more to its commercial approach than its response to the ever changing landscape.

“Regardless of how media evolves, the goal of marketing is to increase business and that has always been our focus. Ultimately, it’s not solely about creative ads, clicks or likes, it’s about selling more of our clients’ products and services.

“We succeed at this because our core strategy is to really get to know client’s businesses and become actively involved. This enables us to develop innovative campaigns and initiatives that genuinely increase their revenue,” concludes Efrem.

The agency’s new brand comes after they completed a number of prestigious rebranding projects for both existing and new clients. Efrem says of it “Like so many businesses you put your own work to the back of the queue, but we felt that at 30 years old it was time for a corporate face-lift. Our new identity is fresher, bolder and is representative of our eagerness to embrace change and to continue to move forward.”
