Seeds swap and plant sale

A fresh Art Mural by local Artist Cat Tyrrell will be on view at Edible Guernseys Seed Swap and Plant Sale on Sunday 24th March.

A colourful mural of different fruits and vegetables, along with the charity’s logo, has recently been painted onto the entrance of the greenhouse. The artwork was designed and created by local artist, Cat Tyrrell, known for her intricate pattern designs as well as being the island’s henna tattooist.

“I loved working on this piece for Edible Guernsey,” she said. “In keeping with the charity’s work, I wanted to create a growing scene representing the different fruits and vegetables that can be grown locally. It’s a fun and inviting piece to look at, and the bold colours and logo are now hard to miss as you arrive. For the eagle eyed, you may also be able to spot some bugs hidden among the veggies!

“It’s been great working with the Edible team, and I’d invite anyone interested in growing or local artistry to pop down to the event, say hello, and take a look
around.”

The Seed Swap event will run from 12pm – 3pm on Sunday 24th March. It’s free and open to anybody who would like to swap seeds or buy seedlings and  plants.
