Jersey Opera House presents: An unforgettable evening of live jazz with The John Turville Trio

Despite the temporary closure of the Jersey Opera House, the spirit of live entertainment thrives with the offsite presentation of The John Turville Trio.

In collaboration with Jazz en Jèrri, this exclusive event promises an evening of unparalleled musicianship, improvisation, and the infectious spirit of jazz.

Renowned jazz pianist John Turville, hailed as ‘one of the leading jazz pianists of his generation’ by Ian Mann, takes centre stage in an enchanting performance that spans his diverse repertoire. Having graced stages across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Turville has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Tim Garland, Ola Onabule, and the London Tango Orchestra.

Turville’s musical journey boasts five award-winning albums, including the acclaimed ‘Head First’ featuring saxophonist Julian Argüelles. The recipient of prestigious awards such as ‘Best Album’ in the Parliamentary Awards and the PRS Promoter’s Choice Award, Turville has also been honoured as ‘Best Instrumentalist’ in the London Jazz Awards.

In addition to his stellar performances, Turville is a seasoned composer, contributing original music to projects like Transtango and Living Room in London. As the principal jazz piano tutor at Birmingham Conservatoire, he shares his expertise through workshops and international summer schools.
