Jersey-based human resources, employee relations and health and safety specialist, Law At Work, has appointed Deano Davey as a Health and Safety Business Partner with a particular emphasis on supporting construction clients as their Health and Safety Project Co-ordinator (HSPC).
Deano joins LAW’s strong team of H&S professionals in Jersey, helping clients assess risks and developing appropriate practices to address those risks and representing their interests as ‘virtual’ H&S Officers.
In his main role as a Health and Safety Project Co-ordinator for major construction projects, Deano will be the main point of contact for construction clients during the design and planning stages of their projects to ensure compliance with legislation and minimise associated delays.
Previously, he worked for Jersey Gas and Jersey Electricity in a number of roles, which included key elements of health and safety. Prior to that, he was a firefighter with the Airport Fire and Rescue Service. He is also a qualified gym and fitness instructor.
