Carey Olsen’s investment funds team in Jersey has advised independent private equity manager Epiris on the launch and final close of its buyout fund, Epiris Fund III.
Epiris Fund III was oversubscribed at its hard cap of £1 billion in third party investor commitments.
Epiris invests in opportunities to transform businesses in partnership with exceptional management teams. The firm targets UK and international businesses with an enterprise value of between £75 million and £500 million. Fund III has already deployed more than 20% of its total capital across four investments: Delinian, Lonestar, Pure Cremation and GSF.
The Carey Olsen team advising Epiris comprised partner James Mulholland (pictured), counsel Nienke Malan, senior associate Thomas MacAdie and associate Edward Kelleher, working alongside onshore law firm Clifford Chance.
James Mulholland commented: “We are pleased to have advised long-standing client Epiris on the successful fundraise of its latest buyout fund, which further confirms Carey Olsen’s position as a leading legal adviser in the investment funds sector.”
