Leonard Curtis Legal has supported one of the UK’s fastest-growing business energy comparison services, Utility Bidder, on its expansion in Manchester city centre.
Founded in Corby in 2009, Utility Bidder has become one of the most popular tools for UK businesses seeking price comparison on gas, electric, water, telecoms and insurance.
With momentum behind the firm and some ambitious growth targets for 2024, directors wanted to acquire office space in Manchester city centre’s prestigious business district, in the ABC Building in Spinningfields, in time for the new year.
Utility Bidder worked with Joe Averill of Level Workspace to locate and secure the 5177 square feet in the ABC Building. Having worked together successfully on other projects, Joe recommended Leonard Curtis Legal to support Utility Bidder in completing the lease.
Facing a strict deadline, Kulzinder Garcha, Associate Solicitor in the Leonard Curtis Legal Real Estate team, worked closely with all parties to secure the lease for the new premises.
Utility Bidder directors appreciated Leonard Curtis Legal’s responsive and commercial approach which ensured that the completion date was met.
Chris Shaw, CEO of Utility Bidder said: “We would like to thank Kulzinder for her outstanding support with the commercial property lease negotiations. The tailored guidance, attention to detail, and proactive approach to help us foresee and address potential challenges contributed to the overall success of the transaction.”
Alicia Renshaw (pictured) who leads the Real Estate team said: “We were delighted to work with the team at Utility Bidder on securing this lease which enables them to focus on their service offering and exciting growth plans this year. “
Joe Averill, Managing Director and Founder of Level Workspace said: “We were particularly impressed by Alicia and Kulzinder’s positive and friendly approach and their wealth of knowledge. I look forward to working with them in the future.”
