The IoD Guernsey Next Gen Forum has appointed Scott Gillen, Katy Wilby, and Sam Wanless to the committee.
The IoD Guernsey Next Gen Forum was established in 2022 to focus on developing and supporting professionals in managerial roles who will move into director roles in the next two to five years.
The Forum’s inaugural year saw the committee organise four networking events and five workshops welcoming sector-leading speakers to connect and support the Next Gen community in their journey to become directors.
Tom Zierer, Chair of the IoD Guernsey Next Gen Forum Committee, said: “We are committed to having a diversified and engaged committee to deliver valuable events and professional development opportunities for Guernsey’s next generation.”
Scott Gillen has worked in the banking industry for nine years, including retail, corporate and private banking. He started at Barclays in 2014, where he has since worked in London and Dublin, before settling in Guernsey, where he has been working as a Fiduciary Relationship Manager in Barclays Private Bank for the last four years.
Katy Wilby, Senior Consultant at CBO Projects, has worked in data and technology related roles for the last ten years, including a variety of management positions in technical and operational teams and holds the APM Project Management Qualification (SCQF Level 7).
Sam Wanless, Sales Manager at Norman Piette, has more than ten years of experience in business development. He has held similar positions across the UK and Australia and currently manages the business’s different sales teams.
Tom continued: “I’m pleased to welcome these new members to our committee. The expansion of the committee is incredibly important to ensure we’re engaging with a number of Guernsey’s industries and I have no doubt that the new members will bring fresh knowledge, ideas and experience to our team.”
