The Ladies’ College has welcomed Nick Dyson to the College as the new Deputy Principal – Innovation & Student Development.

Mr Dyson’s (pictured) role will be to ensure that students have cutting-edge opportunities and personalised support to develop the confidence, voice and skills they will need to thrive in the 21st century.

He will lead the new Pathways Provision for Sixth Form (launching in 2024), the Future Ready Programme for younger pupils and a range of environmental, scientific, and entrepreneurial projects to develop the girls’ understanding and skills.

He joins The Ladies’ College after six successful years as Director of Creative Enterprise at Francis Holland School Sloane Square, an independent girls’ school in London voted The Times’ Independent School of the Year in 2023.

During his time at Francis Holland, Nick developed a nationally recognised, award-winning entrepreneurship programme, which enables pupils to work with businesses and entrepreneurs on real-world business problems.

Focused on developing skills in creativity, innovation and enterprise, Nick’s work has resulted in impactful partnerships with the likes of Bear Grylls’ BecomingX, Coram Beanstalk, Mary’s Meals and several other London-based charities.

Mr Dyson, said: “I’m thrilled to be joining The Ladies’ College. The school is clearly committed to preparing students for the real world and I am excited to be working with Ms Harford-Fox and her experienced team to develop several impactful programmes, including supporting the astounding new Pathways Provision for our Sixth Form students. I have already been struck by the warmth of the College community and their openness to innovation and I’m excited to get started.

“From my few visits to the College so far, I have seen how committed the teachers are to student development and the design of meaningful pathways for students. I am excited to be working on the design of several initiatives which will fully prepare the girls for their bright career paths.”

Principal of The Ladies’ College, Daniele Harford-Fox, said: “At The Ladies’ College, we aim to create an environment that fosters innovation and inspires students to be creative beyond the classroom. Nick brings significant experience to his role as Deputy Principal – Innovation and Student Development. I’m looking forward to watching how our students interact with him.”
