Saffery Trust has announced five promotions effective from 1st January.

Josephine Champion, who will celebrate five years with the private client firm this year, was promoted from Senior Officer to Assistant Manager in Guernsey. It is her second promotion since joining Saffery Trust.

Jo is also a Mental Health First Aider within the office, sits on the Client Service Cornerstone committee and is an active member of the Sports and Social committee.

Jo said: “I am delighted to have been promoted to Assistant Manager. The career progression opportunities at Saffery Trust are excellent; we work extremely hard and receive recognition for those efforts.

“I have always been client-focused in my career, and value the longevity of client relationships at Saffery. The team here are friendly and supportive and I look forward to continuing to progress through the firm.”

Other promotions in Guernsey saw Will Booth promoted to Senior Officer in the Digital Asset Team, and Codie Ford promoted to Senior Administrator.

In Geneva, Esther Smyth was promoted from Officer to Senior Officer and Ned Sibley from Assistant Administrator to Administrator.

Saffery Trust Managing Director, Nick Batiste (pictured), said the promotions were well-deserved. He commented: “At Saffery Trust we support opportunity and enable success for our people and clients alike. Just as we tailor our services to the individual needs of each client, we also work with each of our team members to set objectives that support them in shaping their own career paths.

“Outside of their job roles, these objectives include opportunities for all our people to take part in activities that interest them, for example assisting with our Green and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and supporting our efforts to give back to our community and protect the environment.

“I would like to congratulate Jo, Will, Codie, Esther and Ned on their promotions, which are reflective of their hard work, and the valuable contributions they each make to the firm.”
