Keith Taylor has been voted Jersey Post’s Postie of the Year 2023 by the public.

Keith (pictured) has been a postie for 25 years and is thrilled with the award.

Over 300 members of the public got involved and voted for their favourite postie in the inaugural category at the People’s Award.

These are internal awards that recognise Jersey Post colleagues who have gone above and beyond over the past year.

Keith said: “It’s nice to be recognised and appreciated. I love my job, being out in the fresh air, seeing people, chatting. You really get to know people.”

Here is what the public had to say:

  • “Top man, always has a smile”
  • “Nothing is too much trouble for Keith, he’s always smiling. Everyone knows him in St Brelade”
  • “Great postman, always knows where to put parcels. He’s hard working and reliable”
  • “He always goes the extra mile. He deserves this 100%”
  • “Friendly, efficient and a great guy!”

Keith still has to find a permanent spot for his award. “At the moment it’s by the tv, so the cat can’t get it!” he said.
