Ray & Scott is supporting the Guernsey Air Display Foundation, raffling a watch to raise funds for the charity.
A run of just 350 tickets at £25 each are available to win a limited edition Bremont Vulcan watch worth £3,600, with all profits going to the Foundation.
Heralded as a symbolic last defense against nuclear war, the Avro Vulcan is one of the most iconic aircraft in the RAF’s history. Bremont has celebrated this iconic symbol of British aviation and engineering with a commemorated limited edition timepiece.
A similar fundraiser in 2022 raised an impressive £10,000 with the raffle of a Bremont Dambusters watch, which was made to mark the 80th anniversary of the Lancaster bomber and the historic Dambusters Raid.
Natalie Davidson, Event Organiser, Guernsey Air Display Foundation said: “The Guernsey Air Display is an incredibly important event in the island’s calendar, enjoyed by thousands of locals and visitors each year.
“It’s more than just about the display itself though and we have done a lot of work on our ‘Educate and Inspire’ programme taking pilots into schools, the popular Meet the Pilots event and the screening of the documentary Lancaster.
“The funds raised by Ray & Scott makes a huge difference to what we can do both in and around the display and their contribution is highly appreciated. We hope the Guernsey community will support the raffle again this year to enable us to continue this work.”
Martin Search, Managing Director, Ray & Scott added: “With the relationship Ray & Scott has with Bremont and the specialist watches they have been developing, the connection to the air display was an obvious one and we are delighted to be able to do our bit for such an important event. The amount raised by last year’s raffle was beyond our expectation, and we are confident the 2023 raffle will be just as successful.
“Tickets are available from our shop on the Bridge or you can send a message through the Ray & Scott or Guernsey Air Display Facebook pages. We still have ticket 201 available which, with the longstanding relationship of the recently reformed 201 Squadron, might bring someone some luck! We will be holding a sealed bid to secure ticket number 201 if anyone is interested.
“The draw will take place on Friday 22 December so you could be the proud owner of a brand new watch for Christmas.”
