Jersey Cheshire Home is hosting a prestigious international conference and welcoming delegates from all around the world who will be discussing the best ways of supporting disabled people.
The three-day Leonard Cheshire Disability Global Alliance – Regional Chairs Mini Conference is being held at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
Attending is Chair of the Global alliance Mr David Anderson, Cheshire Service British Columbia.
The Cheshire Global Alliance is one of the largest pan-disability networks in the world united by a shared history and a desire to change attitudes towards disability and open doors to opportunity, The Alliance covers 200+ Cheshire Services in 55 countries worldwide, helping people to live, learn and work as independently as they choose, whatever their ability.
Regional Chairs representing East Asia and Pacific, South Asia, African and Americas regions will be in attendance at the event which aims to confirm the future direction of the Alliance, its composition and agree the package of support it can offer to its worldwide membership.
Jersey Cheshire Home will have the responsibility of the Chair position for the European Region of the Alliance covering Spain, Portugal, Northern Cyprus, UK, Russia, Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey.
