Mourant Ozannes’ Jersey investment funds team has shown significant growth over the last 12 months with the appointment of three associates, Sally Muller, Rachel McGinness and Faria Rahman, as well as senior associate, Alex Henderson.
This strategic expansion of the team enhances the firm’s capacity to service its client base, which includes some of the biggest players in the global funds market.
Most recent hire, senior associate Alex Henderson, joined the firm this month from the London investment funds team of the global firm, Goodwin Procter. He has experience working with a range of different asset classes and particular expertise in private equity funds, with first-hand experience of recent trends and developments in the UK funds market. Sally Muller joined the firm from Gide Loyrette Nouel LLP in July 2017, Rachel McGinness from Wright Johnstone & Mackenzie in October and Faria Rahman from Ogier Jersey, in December.
Mourant LP Partner and practice group head of the Jersey Investment Funds team, Felicia de Laat, said:
“As Jersey’s pre-eminent legal adviser in this sector, we have a strong and collegiate team of bright, accomplished and specialised funds lawyers. In the last 12 months we’ve been instructed on a strong flow of significant new fund launches and some of the biggest deals in the offshore market, including the largest ever fundraising by a European private equity firm. It’s our large, expert team that allows us to manage this scale of project while providing the excellent levels of service that we’re known for. Alex, Sally, Rachel and Faria are great additions to our team and we’re delighted to have them on board.”
