A new venture at Guernsey Museum will offer visitors an insight into exhibitions, collections and current displays.

The Friday Lunchtime Tour is a new initiative and the first one takes place on Friday 31 March at 12.30.

Access & Learning Manager, Jo Dowding, said: “We hold daily tours at Castle Cornet and we thought it would be good to try them at Guernsey Museum at Candie. The tours will be focused and could be centred on an exhibition, a painting, story or object in our collection.”

Every month will have a different theme and the sessions will last 30 minutes. There is no need to book. It is hoped that the lunchtime slot will attract workers on lunchbreaks, as well as visitors to the island. The hosting is to be shared by staff from Guernsey Museums and Guernsey Arts.

The Friday Lunchtime Tour will take place on the last Friday of the month from now until August 2023. Full details can be found online here, or by calling 226518.

Normal Museum admission applies and it is free for Discovery Pass holders.
