Local sustainability course gets global accreditation
Share on LinkedInTwitterFacebookEmail

Channel Island advisory firm UN1TY.gg has received a glowing accreditation for their Carbon Literacy Course launched this month.

The course was written to help individuals and companies better understand the CO2 costs and impacts of their everyday activities so that they can better manage and reduce them and help tackle climate change.

The course has been accredited by the internationally recognised Carbon Literacy Project who noted that the program ‘is well tailored to the target audience, is full of inspiring examples and engaging activities – it should lead to some really impactful action’. UN1TY are the first to gain this accreditation in the Channel Islands.

Rollo de Sausmarez, who leads UN1TY’s sustainability advisory said: “Olivia Bennett has done an excellent job of writing a course that delivers the basics of climate change science, showing how our actions affect it, as well as explaining what’s already happening globally and locally. Most importantly, the course gives students some of the knowledge and proven tools to reduce their impact.”

Successful students are awarded an internationally recognised ‘Carbon Literate Individual’ certificate at the end of the course, which is delivered over two half day sessions, in person, in Guernsey. The first 2 cohorts are fully booked but two more are planned in March.
