The BDO Group in Jersey has announced the appointment of Josh Payne as Director – Audit and Assurance in the Audit & Assurance Senior Management Team.
Josh (pictured) transfers to BDO in Jersey having worked at BDO in Guernsey for over 8 years. He has worked with entities in the UK, Jersey and Guernsey in the financial services, trust and corporate services and commercial trading sectors. Josh has experience in multi-jurisdictional group audit engagements across a range of global financial centres.
During his career with BDO, Josh has worked closely with the BDO Global network on client facing international engagements as well as internally, embedding BDO’s global proprietary audit process tools.
Josh has been shortlisted in the ePrivate Client’s Channel Island Top 35 Under 35 in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. This award promotes and introduces rising stars of the private client practitioner community in the Channel Islands. He has also served as a Director of Guernsey’s ‘Young Business Group’ for 7 years, a not-for-profit organisation which facilitates opportunities for young professionals to form business networks on the Island.
In his new role, Josh will manage a portfolio of clients operating locally and internationally, together with supporting new business development and acting as a coach and mentor to the growing audit practice. Josh joins a Director team in the Audit and Assurance practice, comprising Manik Memon and Martin Child and headed by Chris Stuart. Together the team aim to deliver industry leading services in audit and assurance.
