Graeme Smith has joined the Board of Skipton International as a Non-Executive Director.
Graeme (pictured) is the outgoing Chief Executive Officer of Jersey Business, a role he has held for the past eight years. During that time, Graeme led a restructuring and resourcing of the organisation and established strong working relationships with local businesses and partners such as the Jersey Chamber of Commerce and the Institute of Directors.
Prior to that, Graeme enjoyed a long career in international and regional banking with RBS and NatWest International.
Of his new Non-Executive Director role, Graeme said: ‘’I am really looking forward to working with Skipton, an organisation that prides itself on excellent customer service and its’ community responsibilities across the Channel Islands. These very much resonate with my own values.’’
Graeme joins Skipton alongside fellow new Non-Executive Director, Justine Shaw, who is employed at Skipton Building Society in the UK as Chief People Officer.
Skipton’s Chair, Bobby Ndawula, said: “I am delighted to welcome Graeme and Justine to the Board. Graeme’s previous banking background, coupled with his vast experience over the past eight years at Jersey Business will benefit the Board and the wider business. Alongside Justine’s vast strategic experience, they will help us to continue to shape and grow Skipton into the future.”
