Brain injury support charity, Headway Jersey is celebrating its 25th anniversary in style with a ball and auction, sponsored by Genesis AV that will be held on Friday 30th September at the Royal Yacht.
The auction website has launched, offering a chance to place bids for 15 separate prizes, with the final auction taking place on the evening of the ball.
Among the 15 prizes being made available on the auction site is a chance to be immortalised in the next Peter James (pictured) novel featuring Detective Superintendent, Roy Grace. The best-selling crime fiction series set in Brighton has also been adapted into a hit ITV drama starring John Simm.
Other prizes include an exclusive experience for 6 people at Bohemia with Michelin Star Chef, Callum Graham, a year’s free travel with Liberty bus and a weekend stay experience on Les Minquiers.
All prizes have been donated and proceeds from the auction will go to Headway Jersey to provide support, information and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers.
Bryce Alford, Fundraising and Events Manager said: “We have been delighted with the generosity of so many individuals and businesses that have helped us create a fantastic range of auction items. All the money raised from this event will go towards the services that we offer to over 150 survivors of brain injury that we currently have registered as members.
“These services are an essential lifeline for our members and provide support and respite to families and carers who need it most. I would encourage everyone to take a look and place a bid and they could end up winning an amazing prize or experience.”
Title sponsors Genesis AV were also key supporters in the development of the auction website and their CEO, Mike Schiessl added: “We are pleased to be supporting the team at Headway Jersey to celebrate 25 years of supporting Islanders that have been affected by brain injury. The evening promises to be great fun and the monies raised will be vital in helping Headway Jersey to continue their excellent work.”
Bids can be made on the auction website and online bidding for all items ends at 8:00pm on Thursday 29th September 2022. Final bidding will take place for ticket holders only at the Headway Jersey Ball on the evening of Friday 30th September and all successful bidders will be contacted once the auction closes.
