AFM has appointed Steve Martel as its new client relationship manager.
Steve, who will be based in Guernsey, will be responsible for building and maintaining long-term client relationships and actively seeking opportunities to ensure clients get the most out of their assets and estate.
Steve joins the facilities management company from Mitie, where he held the role of in-house facilities manager in Guernsey on a national Lloyds Banking Group contract. In his previous position, Steve was responsible for the successful delivery of a complete range of facilities and property management services for the bank. Before that, he held facilities management positions at Deutsche Bank, Guernsey.
“Steve has a wealth of experience in facilities management, which will enable him to thoroughly understand clients’ needs and ensure an exemplary level of service is always delivered. His appointment further strengthens AFM’s offering and supports our mission to foster long-term strategic partnerships with our clients,” said AFM’s commercial director, Ben Le Huray.
Steve said: “AFM has an impressive book of clients and I am thrilled to be part of such an ambitious team. In particular, I’m looking forward to working alongside AFM’s clients as more than just a service provider but an extension of their team.”
“It will also be great to be part of a local company and I’m very much looking forward to getting involved with AFM’s extensive community support activities,” added Steve.
Steve holds a BIFM Level 3 Diploma in Facilities Management and an Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education in Information & Technology from Guernsey College of Further Education.
