Jersey Cheshire Home serves up tea and cake at Reg’s Garden
The team at Jersey Cheshire Home have found the perfect setting to serve up some teatime treats – all in aid of a good cause of course.
Staff and volunteers will be at Reg’s award-winning garden in the heart of St Brelade this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
Visitors can relax and enjoy the beautiful garden whilst tucking into tea, coffee and a range of delicious cakes and treats.
The garden with its thousands of plants, created by Reg Langlois offers something for all the family, even the dog with a themed wildlife garden and Wendy houses to play in plus live music and a bouncy castle.
Tea and cake costs just £5 with all the profits going towards Jersey Cheshire Home’s Fire Sprinkler Appeal.
The local charity wants to add sprinkler systems to all areas of the home, enhancing their fire safety measures beyond legal compliance to help lower the chances of a fire spreading out of control and harming their disabled residents.
Commenting Donna Abel, CEO Jersey Cheshire Home said, “We’re really grateful to Reg Langlois for hosting us this weekend in his gorgeous garden where we hope to see lots of islanders coming to enjoy the surroundings, our cream teas and helping to support our life-saving appeal.”
Jersey Cheshire Home is the only residential facility on the island caring solely for adults with disabilities.
