The new Chair of IoD Jersey is believed to be the youngest ever incumbent of the post and hopes to build on recent progress in ensuring the business organisation is inclusive and attracts a younger audience of business leaders, whilst staying aligned to traditional values.

Natasha Egré (38), is an experienced Public Relations and digital marketing professional, who has served as Vice Chair of IoD Jersey, for the past three years. She was voted in as Chair during the Annual Members Meeting on Thursday 26th May.

Natasha worked with outgoing Chair, Lisa Springate, on many of the initiatives to develop the Jersey branch and to ensure the membership voice and values are fully represented. She is the third woman to hold the position since the first female Chair in 2014.

In the last three years, membership has grown, and the team of volunteer committee members has increased from 12 to 60 with six new sub-committees established to reflect the more modern, diverse, and inclusive organisation.

Natasha said: “We have a lot of challenges ahead as we steer out of the pandemic and negotiate the economic fallout of the Ukraine/Russia war and Brexit. I’m looking forward to supporting our members and working with the new government following the June elections, to tackle the critical issues that face our Island.

“The IoD should be at the forefront of conversations around fiscal stimulus, recruitment strategy, and supply chain challenges, and myself and our dedicated committees, will continue to ensure that members are represented for the benefit of business and the Island community and economy. We will continue to take a collaborative approach, where possible, but will also challenge on vital issues, and ensure decision makers are held to account.”

The role of IoD Chair is voluntary. Natasha is Head of Client and Product Development for Change Management firm Marbral Advisory, where she contributes to the strategic direction of the multi-jurisdictional company as part of the Senior Management Team.

She is locally born, and was educated in Jersey, before receiving a degree in Multimedia Journalism from Bournemouth University. Natasha has worked as Director of Public Relations for The Refinery, she is an award-winning practitioner, published writer and editor, and has also served on the Cancer Research UK Jersey and CIPR committees.

Natasha is co-founder of Women in Leadership and an ambassador for diversity and inclusion, and believes in the IoD philosophy that ‘better directors build a better world’. She added, “I would like the opportunity to continue to share these values and help our community to achieve societal, environmental, and governance goals as we move forward in 2022 and beyond.”
