Orchard, the Channel Islands-based communications agency, has strengthened its professional credentials as Head of PR Dan Gallienne has become a Chartered PR Practitioner.
Chartered PR Practitioner status is an honour that requires an large amount of work, dedication, and knowledge of the communications industry. It is awarded by the UK’s professional PR body, the CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations), following an assessment day. The applicant must demonstrate their expertise across three areas – ethics, leadership and strategy – at a very high standard.
Dan joins Orchard Managing Directors Brooke Kenyon and Chris Chilton, both of whom are also Chartered PR Practitioners, having achieved the qualification while developing their own communications careers with the company. Having three three team members with Chartered status, coupled with the agency’s CIPR PRide Awards PR Consultancy of the Year win in October last year, has reinforced its position as one of the leading agencies in the region.
Chartership demonstrates dedication to delivering first-class communications strategies and is recognised by clients and PR professionals as a badge of excellence. According to research undertaken by the CIPR, 71% of the public would trust a Chartered PR professional more than a professional without the award.
Feedback from Dan’s assessors confirmed that he had been successful across the course of the day, as he delivered what one examiner called “a brilliant performance”. Dan has worked for Orchard for almost eight years, cementing himself as one of Guernsey’s premier communications experts and a quick-thinking, trustworthy PR practitioner who is an expert in his field.
Brooke said: “We cannot overstate how proud we are of Dan for achieving this prestigious accreditation. Orchard seeks to hire only the best PR professionals, and seeing Dan rise from an Account Executive to Account Director, and now becoming a Chartered PR Practitioner is testament to why we invest in our people.
“We regularly advise our client base that to communicate their values they need to live them first, and we’re doing exactly that by making professionalism a key part of who we are. We are always striving for better, so being able to demonstrate why our clients should trust us with their communications strategies with professionally recognised accreditations like this one is incredibly important”.
Dan (pictured) said: “I am proud to join Brooke and Chris as a Chartered PR Practitioner and thank them for giving me the opportunity to get Chartered. Being Chartered reflects the hard work that we at Orchard put into delivering top-quality communications strategies and support, and being Chartered proves that our clients are working with a professional, reputable agency that respects ethical practice.”
