Locally based White Rock Brewery has announced that a deal has been finalised with Waitrose to stock their beer and gin range in a number of UK stores.
This provides an opportunity to drive national recognition of the brand and comes on the back of deals already secured locally with Waitrose, CI Co-operative and Sandpiper CI’s Food Halls and Iceland stores.
The Brewery recently took over the taps of the Hope Pub in Carshalton, Greater London, which was voted as Greater London CAMRA pub of the year in 2017. The night proved a major sales success, with Scapegoat, their new golden beer, proving a big hit. On the back of this successful evening, White Rock products will now feature permanently at this prestigious London site.
Ross Gledhill, MD of White Rock said of the launch in London:
“The launch night in the Hope Pub was a huge success for White Rock. The pub was full to the rafters and our beer did not disappoint. We were inundated with positive comments and feedback was particularly positive for the new Scapegoat Golden Beer. It was the best seller of the night and was praised for its flavour and brand identity”.
The brewery sees the development of new beers and diversification into gin distilling as key to its expansion and growth over the next ten years. The company is particularly excited about its recently launched premium gin range, Unit Six. The product is being positioned at the top end of the market and is particularly appealing to the affluent professionals in London.
