Experts from the UK will join industry leaders from the Channel Islands to debate the latest issues in governance, risk and compliance at the Guernsey Association of Compliance Officers (GACO) 2018 Symposium.
Topics to be covered at the half-day conference, which takes place at St James on Monday 23 April, include the latest developments in RegTech and customer due diligence (CDD), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), corporate governance standards and anti-money laundering processes.
Speakers at the event include Emma Martins, Guernsey’s data protection commissioner and George Pearmain, lead policy adviser for financial crime at the States of Jersey. They will be joined by Andrew Bulley of Deloitte, Gillian Browning and Callum McVean from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, Jonathan Bowdler of International Compliance Training, Jessica Rowland of Mourant Ozannes and Stephen Platt of KYC360.
Carey Olsen partner and GACO committee member Mark Dunster will moderate proceedings which include a panel discussion on digitising CDD processes.

Registration for the event, which is open to members and non-members of GACO, will be open from 8.30am, with the conference itself taking place from 9am – 12.30pm. Tickets are priced at £50.
