Ladies’ networking event
The Ladies’ College incoming Principal, Ms Daniele Harford-Fox, will be the guest speaker at its annual networking event on Thursday 3rd March.
The College is hosting the popular networking event to support this year’s International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8th March, the theme of which is #BreakTheBias.
The event will comprise a series of presentations and an introduction to this year’s chosen theme, followed by Ms Harford-Fox’s speech. The event will conclude with the opportunity for attendees to network.
An alumna of Oxford, Ms Harford-Fox holds a degree in Experimental Psychology. In 2003, she launched the Psychology Department at Hillcrest International School in Nairobi, where she held the post of Head of Sixth Form. She returned to the UK in 2009 to join the staff at Solihull School, taking up the post of Director of Studies and then Deputy Head for Teaching, Learning and Innovation.
Ms Harford-Fox says: “I am very much looking forward to joining The Ladies’ College in April and building on the excellent foundations that have been established, particularly during such a momentous year for the College.
“In my speech this year, I will talk in depth about how I believe girls’ schools allow young women to find their unique voices and passions and to be able to fully stretch out their fingers and feel out who they truly are.
“I am so excited to work with a school and community that has, for the last 150 years, aimed to break the bias and said to girls, you can be anything.”
Ms Harford-Fox will take up her post as the new Principal of The Ladies’ College at the end of April when she takes on the role from Mrs Clancy.
