Nominations are pouring in for the 4th Annual Jersey TechAwards which are to be hosted by one of the UK’s top comedians, Lucy Porter.

The Awards, sponsored by C5 alliance, are a time to celebrate those individuals and organisations which are making a difference to islanders’ lives and the economy, through technology. This year there are new categories and a return to a live in-person awards ceremony at The Radisson on March 25th. Nominations close on February 18th.

Lucy is a stand-up comedian and regular panellist on TV shows such as The News Quiz and Mock The Week, as well as appearing on Would I Lie To You, and is a regular on BBC Radio 4. She is also an actress, working alongside Christian Slater in the stage show of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

New to the TechAwards this year are categories for the public sector or a charity, and one which highlights how technology has increased the productivity of an organisation. In addition, if someone would like to nominate an organisation or individual who doesn’t fit into one of the category criteria, they’re welcome to contact Kelly Barker at Digital Jersey, who will see if they can be included in the awards [email protected]

Tony Moretta, CEO, Digital Jersey said: “I always look forward to the Awards because the talent and innovation, showcased from our small island, never fails to surprise me. Last year saw a record number of entries and I’ve no doubt that our judges will find they’ll have to make a few tough decisions again this year.”
