STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Jersey were able to celebrate the success of their students back at their Annual Awards Dinner this year.
The event, held at The Royal Yacht hotel was attended by winners, members, sponsors, and their guests. Top scoring STEP Jersey students were the recipients of six STEP Jersey Awards.
Tallie Renouf, APEX Financial Services, was the winner of three awards: the Abrdn Award for the highest scoring student in the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management, the Bedell Cristin Award for the Advanced certificate: Company Law and Practice paper, and the RBC Wealth Management Award for the Advanced certificate: Trust Administration and Accounts paper.
Other top scoring award winners were:
- Mathew Dodsley, IQEQ, the Dickinson Gleeson Award for the Advanced Certificate: Trust Creation: Law and Practice paper.
- Mark Swart, Stonehage Flemming Group for the Rathbones Award, Advanced Certificate: Trustee Investment and Financial Appraisal paper.
- Rosa Micheljump, ZEDRA, the Knight Frank Award for the STEP Certificate in International Trust Management.
Each of the award winners received a trophy and a financial award for their achievements.
STEP Excellence Awards celebrate exceptional achievement, recognising the highest achievers across all STEP qualifications globally. They recognise the top-scoring student at distinction level per STEP exam or assignment, essay route, and the highest-scoring graduates across each of the STEP Diplomas.
The 2020 STEP Excellence award winners in Jersey were:
- Sonia Shah, Bedell Cristin, for the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management.
- Elisa Scarp, Cavendish Fiduciary, for the STEP Certificate in Foundations.
- Kathryn Abraham, HSBC, for the Advanced Certificate in Trust Administration and Accounts.
- Daniel Maine, Ogier, for the STEP Certificate in Trust and Estates.
- Nichola Aldridge, Carey Olsen, Essay route.
