The 2021 Jersey Tech Awards are underway, with nominations now open for eleven categories that showcase the very best of the Island’s digital talent, creativity and entrepreneurship.

The annual awards recognise students, individuals, projects and companies and are sponsored by C5 Alliance.

This year there are eleven awards which are open to any individual or business in Jersey. While some categories are focused on tech companies, others such as the creative tech project, or the sustainability, productivity and cyber security categories, are open to all organisations.

Digital Jersey CEO, Tony Moretta, said: “These awards are not just aimed at recognising digital companies, but are for any business or individual who is harnessing technology. Digital is ubiquitous, every company and every one of us use it, and we want to recognise those who are making a real difference. By showcasing the best, we can all learn from them as well as encourage and celebrate their success.”

Last year’s awards saw record numbers of nominations. With the pandemic being the catalyst for a significant acceleration of digitisation and technology innovation, Digital Jersey, which organises the awards, is expecting a bumper year of entrants.

Stuart Richford, Group Commercial Director and Head of Financial Services at C5 Alliance said: “Our technology sector, coupled with Jersey’s unique ecosystem, delivers cutting edge technology and digital transformation that enable businesses to be competitive around the world.

“C5 Alliance are delighted to support Digital Jersey’s TechAwards and to recognise the exceptional talent that makes the island an international centre of excellence.”
