Acorn Enterprises exists to provide work and training opportunities to Islanders who have a disability or long-term health condition. It’s a social enterprise that also has the environment at its heart.
It is made up of:
- Acorn Reuse. A large purpose-built store selling everything that has been donated by members of the public and which have been saved from entering the waste stream. There is everything from quality furniture and clothes to toys, books and ornaments, and so much more. You never know what you are going to find there!
- Plant Nursery. Come to us for all your bedding plants, herbaceous plants and shrubs.
- Acorn Woodshack. Everything we sell is made out of reused timber which would otherwise have been thrown away. We make bespoke furniture like tables and bookshelves as well as selling timber direct to the public. We also sell kindling and briquettes.
Every penny we make is reinvested back into work and training opportunities for people who have a disability or health condition.
We have lots of free parking and a café on site too. Please see our website or Facebook for our opening hours.
