Powerhouse have donated £4,650 to Teenage Cancer Trust Jersey Appeal.
The start of the new school year always means the need for new tech for a number of Jersey’s school and university students, but for some young people in the island, living with cancer can mean a major disruption to their education, which is why Powerhouse came up with the idea of using their laptop sales as a way to help.
They pledged to donate £10 for every laptop or desktop PC, sold over the course their ‘Back to School’ campaign to Teenage Cancer Trust Jersey Appeal and are delighted to be handing over £4,650 to the charity.
Powerhouse Head of Retail, Gavin Murphy (pictured) commented, “We wanted to support a charity via this campaign and the retail team collectively chose “Teenage Cancer Trust Jersey Appeal. They provide a wonderful service, supporting young islanders with cancer, helping them get the best treatment and get back to school in the right environment and frame of mind. Powerhouse is proud to support their work.”
