Livingroom Estate Agents has appointed a new lettings manager to meet growing demand in both the local and open market.
Vikki Bennett rejoins the award-winning local estate agency as lettings manager after taking a sabbatical during 2017. She previously worked in the local market sales team.
Mrs Bennett was instrumental in setting up the lettings department at Livingroom in 2012, spending three years in the team before moving to sales. She returns to the lettings team to manage the increasing demand for rental properties.
“My year out was spent discovering new hobbies and interests but I was definitely ready to return to one of my greatest passions – property – after the break,” said Mrs Bennett. “The rental market is more dynamic than ever and we’ve got a great team in place here at Livingroom that I’m excited to head up.”
Livingroom founder and managing director Simon Torode said: “Vikki brings a wealth of experience of the local and open markets to the lettings team and her island knowledge is encyclopaedic.
“Our rentals team is incredibly busy and the rise in demand for rental properties has been widely reported. Vikki is passionate about Guernsey and this comes across to potential residents who are looking to relocate to the island’s open market. Her enthusiasm, vision, financial services background and negotiating skills are all essential to the smooth operation of the lettings team and the whole team would like to welcome her back.”
Mrs Bennett said that rental properties span the whole spectrum of accommodation available in Guernsey: “We have prospective tenants looking for everything from one-bedroom apartments to four-bed family homes and the rental market is really representative of Guernsey’s fantastic range of homes,” she said.
“The demand for rental properties from people on island and those looking to relocate to Guernsey is huge at the moment so we’re always on the lookout for more rental properties to add to our books.”
