KPMG in the Crown Dependencies announces three new Partner promotions.

Brian Bethell and Ben Honeywood have both been promoted to Audit Partner and Paul Eastwood promoted to Tax Partner, with the new positions taking effect from today (1 October 2021).

These promotions recognise the continuing development and growth of the firm within the Crown Dependencies, following the merger of the Channel Islands and Isle of Man businesses to form a single practice earlier in 2021.

Brian Bethell has worked in the Jersey office for over 13 years providing audit and professional services to the financial services sector, with a focus on the asset management and real estate sectors. Brian is a lead in the firm’s real estate sector team, providing audit and other services to a wide range of structures.

Ben Honeywood has over 17 years of experience working in the Big 4 and has been with KPMG since 2006.  Following a three-year secondment to KPMG’s Private Equity Group in London, Ben has been working within the  PE sector since 2011, delivering cross location engagements with London based managers and Channel Islands-based funds. Ben has extensive experience working exclusively with PE clients, offering audit and wider assurance services to major global houses.

Going forward, as Audit Partners, both Brian and Ben will continue to lead audit teams focussed on their sector experience.

Paul Eastwood has been advising on tax matters since 1998 in a mixture of roles, ranging from Deputy Controller of Taxes for Jersey, with responsibility for domestic tax policy and international tax matters, to being Jersey’s representative at both the OECD’s Forum on Harmful Tax Practice and the Inclusive Framework. During his career, Paul spent almost 13 years in professional practice with a Big 4 firm, based initially in London and then heading up the local team in Jersey. As Tax Partner, he will assume responsibility for the local tax practice and will work with the existing team to expand the range of tax services at the Crown Dependencies firm, where the tax practice is led by John Riva.

Neale Jehan, Senior Partner at KPMG in the Crown Dependencies, commented, “I’d like to personally congratulate Brian, Ben and Paul on their promotions. It is a pleasure to announce promotions within our leadership team and to recognise the hard work and diligence of colleagues who are committed to delivering quality and supporting the firm to grow.”
