Law At Work (LAW), Jersey’s employment, employee relations and health and safety specialist, has appointed Heidi Gibaut as the new Group Managing Director.
LAW has grown to employ over thirty people in Jersey and the UK and includes strategic partnerships with ASL Recruitment and occupational health specialist WorkHealth Jersey.
Heidi has been with LAW since 2008 and more recently had stepped into the role of Managing Director for ASL Recruitment, which is part of the LAW Group. During this time, she created a recruitment process co-sourcing model servicing various clients in Jersey. As a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and over twenty years’ experience in Human Resources, Heidi is well placed to continue to build the resources and client base within the Group. She takes over from Kelly Flageul, who will concentrate on the strategic growth of the LAW Group as Executive Chair of LAW.
Commenting on the changes, Heidi Gibaut, Group Managing Director, said that LAW will continue to work closely with its clients as its services grow: “I am very excited to lead the LAW Group in the post pandemic future. Since Covid-19 arrived, we have seen a dramatic shift in the employment landscape with working from home, but as we move forward, we are ensuring that our clients are prepared and able to work with hybrid working in all areas our group of companies.
“We have always listened to the needs of our clients and that will not change. I will be looking at satisfying our clients’ needs by expanding our areas of our human resources expertise, providing executive mentoring, and coaching and co-sourcing in relation to business administration. We are retaining all the great links we have with our clients, but I am looking to developing new services in the changing landscape of human resources and health and safety which our clients will benefit from.”

- Martin Buckland has been appointed as Group Technical Director. Martin has been with the LAW group as the Managing Director of the UK business, HR At Work since 2016.
- Val Cartwright has been appointed as LAW’s first Group Finance Director. Val is an experienced FCCA and is skilled in all aspects of accounting, executions of cost reduction programmes, strategic planning, business process improvement and change management.
