Local Advocate, Carly James, has launched a new and ‘next generation’ family law firm.
The founder of Confidante, Carly James, told Channel Eye that she has built a firm which harnesses technology to enhance and modernise the delivery of family law services.
Carly, a former Partner at a local firm with over 15 years’ experience as a family law specialist, explained: “Having spent far too long feeling frustrated on behalf of my clients that family law processes often increased their stress levels and legal bills, I decided that a new approach was required.
“I identified common roadblocks in the clients’ way and built a firm which, with the support of technology, removes as many of them as possible. Our tools (all of which are complimentary) are designed to simplify the process and/or educate and empower clients resulting in a far more efficient service.”
With the average divorce costing tens of thousands of pounds and trends showing a significant increase in the number of enquiries throughout the pandemic, Carly, who is listed as a Legal 500 recommended lawyer, identified a gap in the market.
“By leveraging technology, the benefits to clients are plentiful and it became our mission to ensure that our tools were accessible to all our clients, whatever their technical capabilities. We empower clients by allowing them to decide which of our tools they wish to use to enhance their journey.
