Walkers Jersey Banking & Finance team has advised AO Raiffeisenbank on the Jersey law aspects of an up to USD 200m facility.
The facility is intended to, amongst others things, finance a project to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Group Partner Jon Le Rossignol led the team including Associate Alice Wight in advising the lender in respect of a syndicated facility to be provided to Polymetal International Plc.
The purpose of the loan was for corporate purposes, including in particular, for the implementation of a programme for the reduction of greenhouse gas emission intensity.
Jon said: “We are delighted to have advised our client on two facilities for this borrower in quick succession.
“It is particularly pleasing given the strength of our lender-side Russian / CIS practice to see a number of these facilities involving Jersey companies, mirroring the clear global trend towards increasing focus on ESG.”
