Imperium Group have completed the acquisition of STM Fiduciaire, a Jersey-based trust and corporate services provider of the STM Group.
The purchase of the business was approved by the Jersey Financial Services Commission with the sale completing on 8th May 2021. From Monday 10th May 2021 the business will be renamed Imperium Trust Company Jersey Limited.
Imperium explained to Channel Eye: “For a number of years, Imperium have sought to expand a fiduciary offering to Jersey, having a pan-island presence has been a long term strategic goal as we recognise Jersey’s position as one of the leading offshore finance centres. The opportunity to acquire STM by the Imperium Group is seen as an ideal fit for Imperium as the Group continues to grow and Imperium very much looks forward to becoming an important element of Jersey’s private client and corporate services industry, as many institutionally owned businesses move away from this important sector.”
During this process, we have been assisted by Simon Young, Simon has lived and worked in Jersey since 1988 and has over 30 years’ experience in Fiduciary services and most recently was the Managing Director of one of the largest Fiduciary providers based in Jersey. Simon’s experience of the industry and Jersey specific background has been, and will continue to be invaluable as we integrate the STM business into the Imperium family.
Simon has been appointed as the Managing Director of Imperium Trust Company (Jersey) Limited and will be supported by the senior members of the existing STM team, Charles Spery & Helier Pirouet who will remain as directors of the business. The office in Jersey will remain at Mulcaster Street and will carry the same telephone and facsimile contact details.
