A major report on the long-term vision for Jersey’s social, environmental and economic ambitions is due out next month.
It follows the final phase of a consultation on the plan, the results of which have just been published.
Findings from Future Jersey show that Islanders are generally supportive of the vision which is being proposed.
The government says the feedback has led to changes to the final framework and content, and marks the end of nearly two years of public consultation.
Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst, said: “I’d like to thank every islander who took the time to give their views. The long-term vision will belong to the community so public feedback has been a vital part of building and shaping it. Preparations are underway for the launch of the final vision, which will set out islanders’ ambitions and help future Council of Ministers decide priorities for their term of office.”
Ian Skinner, Assistant Director of Strategic Planning and Performance, co-ordinated the consultation process. He said: “Future Jersey was the final stage of consultation, but an important one, to ensure Islanders could see how their ambitions had been taken on board, and how progress will be tracked in the future.”
