CAMS Hire, a Guernsey-based construction equipment rental and support provider, has been acquired by GAP Hire Solutions, the UK’s largest privately-owned plant, tools, and equipment rental provider.
In this exciting development, GAP will add CAMS Hire to 4Group, the Jersey based operation purchased in 2018, creating a pan Channel Islands equipment rental, training and logistics support offering. The business will also be re-branded as 4hire.gg.
The move will provide benefits to the hire trade in Guernsey with planned investments in infrastructure, equipment and products, giving customers in Guernsey access to a wider range of newer equipment, allowing for further implementation of the very latest construction techniques. The expanded offering will later also include equipment safety training for customers, so a greater number of builders and organisations can benefit from the new offering.

In the near future, CAMS Hire will be re-branded to become 4hire.gg, retaining its Guernsey identity, while working alongside 4Group. Many of our customers are working in both islands and having the 4hire.gg team onboard will offer a vast range of equipment and solutions with local knowledge and support.”
