Caring Cooks is a Jersey charity and registered not-for profit organisation (NPO), founded in 2014. Their vision is to positively empower and influence the future health of the island’s children and young people, now and for generations to come.
Good food and nutrition from birth and throughout a child’s life is crucial to successful development, in all areas of their lives. All of the charity’s services are either subsidised or provided free of charge to families and are funded entirely by charitable donations and fundraising.
Caring Cooks works together with the Government of Jersey’s Education and Public Health departments. Their work is aligned to the Island’s Strategic Plan and gives children in Jersey the healthiest start in life, helping to ‘turn’ the tide on what could quickly become a crisis situation for Jersey and it’s future generations.
Caring Cooks have launched a survey to get a better understanding of how the public perceives the charity. In addition, they are looking to better understand:
- whether you understand what they do, why they do it
- whether you know all of the different services they provide
- whether they are doing enough or too much
- your view of how valuable they are in the community
- whether there is enough clarity around what they do
