How you can worship during the Guernsey lockdown

The Guernsey churches and Christian fellowships have issued a details of online and recorded services offered by churches of all denominations in Alderney, Guernsey and Sark.

The Guernsey church leaders decided to close their churches for public worship in advance of the announcement from the Civil Contingencies Authority last Saturday, because of concern for the well-being of the whole community of the Bailiwick.

In a message to church members last weekend, they said, “We suggest that it is appropriate that public worship should cease immediately and until the Civil Contingency Authority lifts the restrictions announced today. The life and worship of our churches will continue in private prayer, in live-streamed services, in our pastoral care of those who are vulnerable, and in other ways in which we can serve our community safely.”

The list, which will be revised and updated as necessary, is available from the Deanery of Guernsey website and the Guernsey Methodist Circuit website.
