Guernsey’s Bedell Cristin acted as lead counsel for the vendor shareholders in the sale of the Robus Group.
Robus, a Guernsey based independent insurance manager with offices in Gibraltar and Malta, has been acquired by the UK based broking and underwriting Ardonagh Group.
The Bedell Cristin team was led by Partner, Richard Sharp, assisted by Associate, Tendai Gakanje. The team also coordinated overseas legal advice from Hassans (Gibraltar) and Ganado Advocates (Malta) and worked closely with Antony Prynn from KPMG Channel Islands, who provided sell side advisory services.
In respect of the deal, Richard Sharp said: “Our expertise in M&A transactions combined with our leading insurance practice meant that we were ideally placed to advise on this deal. Robus has been a much valued client for a number of years and we are really pleased to see the matter complete for both the shareholders and the whole Robus team”.
