Guernsey’s IoD’s November seminar, sponsored by Butterfield, will discuss the importance of addressing the digital skills gap – which has become more pressing due to the acceleration of digital adoption and automation seen during the pandemic.
Sasha Kazantseva-Miller, the new digital lead for the Committee for Economic Development, will speak on the key digital policy priorities for this political term.
Two business leaders will discuss what practical steps their organisations are taking to upskill their staff.
- Leyla Yildirim, Director at PwC, will give a high-level summary of the PwC report on the digital skills gap, outline the challenges and opportunities currently facing businesses and discuss PwC’s own upskilling journey.
- Charlotte Dunsterville from Sure will use her experience in a digitally-enabled organisation to discuss practical solutions, looking at what companies can do right now to ‘future-proof’ their business, undertake a gap analysis of the workforce and put in place training and upskilling initiatives.
The breakfast starts at 7.45am with a light breakfast in the Colborne Room at the OGH with the event concluding at 09.00am.
