Jersey has been crowned ‘Best International Finance Centre’ at the 7th Annual WealthBriefing MENA Awards.
These awards were designed to recognise companies, teams and individuals that the prestigious panel of judges deemed to have ‘demonstrated innovation and excellence during 2019’.
Faizal Bhana, Director Middle East, Africa and India, Jersey Finance, accepted the award at a gala ceremony, which was held on Monday 9 November at the Sofitel Dubai Downtown.
Commenting on Jersey’s winning entry, the panel of judges said: “Jersey Finance is focussed on differentiating through a comprehensive outreach programme which saw its first full year as the first IFC to establish a presence in the Dubai International Finance Centre. Our judges were very impressed by their winner’s detailed submission which listed areas of excellence and how it’s leading the way in terms of international compliance and regulatory cooperation.”
