Corbett Le Quesne is celebrating its third anniversary this week but due to Covid rules are not organising a party as usual. Instead the Partners are focusing on raising money for three of the charities they support and have started with a fundraising afternoon tea party for Family Nursing and Home Care.
Advocate Barbara Corbett (shown in main picture) commented: “It is a natural time to review our year and this year has been pretty unusual. Louise Eden who is studying for her legal exams at the Jersey Institute of Law joined the team in January. Soon after that we had to work out how to continue supporting our family clients and staff while working from home as well as prepare for having court hearings over StarLeaf and meetings over Zoom. We had a very quiet period early in the year but we are now busy once again, partly due to the changes people have experienced this year. I look forward to seeing what our fourth year as Corbett Le Quesne brings.”
Over the last year Corbett Le Quesne has been shortlisted for the Family Law Awards Family Law Firm of the Year: South Award. The winners will be announced shortly. Advocate Nicholas Le Quesne commented “We might just have a team party on the night of the Family Law Awards rather than invite our friends and colleagues this year. If we were to win the Award we would be delighted, to win it as such a small firm in Jersey after only three years would be amazing!”
The firm has also been rated as a Top Tier law firm by the Legal 500 once again which is a great achievement. Advocate Corbett was again ranked as a Leading Individual and Advocate Le Quesne as a Next Generation Partner.
