Channel Islands PR firm Liquid recognised for public sector work

Communications consultancy Liquid has been named fourth nationally for its public sector work in PR Week’s national ‘Top 150’ list of public relations consultancies. This year the agency ranked overall as 22nd outside of London and 126th nationally; up 19 places from 2019.

With offices in Jersey, Guernsey and Birmingham and with a base in London, Liquid now holds the top consultancy spot for the public sector outside of London. Liquid is also the top PR agency to be located within Birmingham city centre and the Channel Islands respectively.

Liquid’s Channel Islands director, Lisa Downes, said:

“We are proud to be recognised as one of the top consultancies within the UK. It is a true testament to the hard work and dedication from our team and continued support from our clients.”

The rank within the 2020 PR Week’s top consultancy shortlist supports the agency’s continued success after being awarded Workplace Champion 2020 by the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) earlier in the year.

“At the end of 2018 and with Brexit then looming, we decided to concentrate our new business efforts on public sector contracts. As a business we felt it was a sector operating without uncertainty and would provide the team with a fresh perspective from managing the demands, scrutiny and stakeholder engagement that comes with public sector work. We have found this approach has complimented our existing client base, helped deliver great quality work for our clients and affirm our reputation as a top UK consultancy,” added Lisa.

PR Week, which ranks PR companies by their fee income, also showed a 10% increase in Liquid’s fee income against the previous calendar year and an impressive 23% increase in the number of staff employed at the consultancy.
